Our Company was founded
Mitas was founded in Gaziantep in 1949 with the initiatives of Ihsan Uncu. In the earlier years, Mitaş produced the spare parts and brake systems of vehicles.

Refurbishing Air Brake System Hydraulic to Pneumatic.
Air brake system the entire of which is own production was applied to hydraulic brake commercial vehicles until 1962.
Vehicle engines were coupled to the rear part of the vehicle and they were made as rear engined.
In ensuing years, auto forya fabrication was carried out with the addition of third axle to the trucks in Turkey for the first time. -
Production of Bayonets
Serial production of bayonets started after six-month research and development with MKEK (Machinery Chemistry Industry) and gendarmerie in 1975.
Then the G-3 rifle bayonets and scabbards requirement of army was reached fabrication of 40-50 thousand annually.
The total production of bayonets and scabbards is approximately 1.100.000. -

Production of take-up winder for heat-set lines completed with success.
