Mitas was founded in Gaziantep in 1949 with the initiatives of Ihsan Uncu. In the early years, Mitaş produced the spare parts and brake systems of vehicles. Air brake system the entire of which is own production was applied to hydraulic brake commercial vehicles until 1962. Vehicle engines were coupled to the rear part of the vehicle and they were made as rear engined. In ensuing years, auto forya fabrication was carried out with the addition of third axle to the trucks in Turkey for the first time.
Serial production of bayonets started after six-month research and development with MKEK (Machinery Chemistry Industry) and gendarmerie in 1975. Then the G-3 rifle bayonets and scabbards requirement of army was reached fabrication of 40-50 thousand annually. The total production of bayonets and scabbards is approximately 1.100.000.
Activities were carried on as MITAS MAKINA A.S in 1979 when Mustafa Uncu joined the company. Our company proceed its activities in machining and textile machinery fabrication in 4200 m² plant area.
3rd generation İbrahim Uncu graduated from university and joined the company at 2010. Knowledge,skills and experiences of 2nd generation blended with innovative, technological ideas of 3rd generation.
The main productions of our company having technologically enhanced machinery are as follows;
* Fabrication of G-3 bayonets- scabbards, T-46 Ammunition box, 66 mm coppercone warhead, 2.75’’ MK 4/40 rocketfins, 2,75” rocket holders, G-3 rifle hanger belt metal parts, Kalashnikov knife and case and gun parts for ministry of national defence,
* Production of spare parts of textile machines for domestic and foreign companies,
* Take-up winder production for heat set and friezing machines since 2002,
* Designing and producing shoe mold models since 2005
* Saturated steam continuous heat setting machine under pressure since 2013
* Over Heated steam continuous heat setting machine for acrylic with lower investment costs since 2014
* With cooperate with MKE production of MPT-76 military rifle parts and bayonets.
MITAS Machine sells machines to the countries such as China, Iran, Brazil, Uzbekistan, Syria, U.A.E , United States of America.
Our company has adopted to follow the new technologies closely and continuous research and incorporation of innovations and aim high level of technology as principles since the foundation. Necessary researches for the product and production methods are done and production time is shortened and technological devices and equipment are added to the machinery fast to increase the quality
Our company has 18 cnc machines with variety of skills. C-Y axis turning center, 2 axis turning center, 3 axix milling center , 4 center milling center. Our customers have adopted to deliver high quality parts in a short time. According to the production requirements of our customers we will renew our infrastructure aimed to respond to the demands.
